I Give Up

This morning I was sitting in my parents' living room in little old PEI listening to Mom chat with one of the neighbours and minding my own business when I heard it. The sound that seems to haunt me wherever I go. Luckily, the radio was on low and I only caught the end of it. Thankfully, this meant there was no need for me to start screaming, slap my hands over my ears, run to the radio and try to shut it off with my elbow thus making a complete arse of myself in front of the aforementioned neighbour. Have you guessed yet? Right there on CBC radio, taunting me was that god damned Crazy Frog. I didn't know what to do. I honestly thought that I had distanced myself from him. So today, I cried a little, took a deep breath and admitted that I give up. I will no longer scream. I will no longer rant. I will take it like a man, and with his blabbering laughter ringing in my ears, admit that the vile little amphibian has beaten me.

Why

does the hair on the front of your legs grow faster than the hair on the back? Or is it just my hair? Please find me an answer to this mystery (I would say it is driving me insane but I think I got there on my own).

Damn, the pic I found yesterday is gone but I am ranting anyway. Yesterday, I watched a bit of Rockstar: INXS - I was waiting for Las Vegas, give me a break here. Please tell me - what is up with Dave Navarro? Does he get makeup and waxing tips from Carmen? Don't get me wrong, I am all for a bit of Metrosexuality (there is no excuse for one eyebrow) but this aging rock star turning into a woman thing is a bit disturbing.

What is up with all my friends? Apparently Catrin was on BBC1 dancing while Razorlight played at Live8 and Sally and Sam are about to have their pictures in the Daily Mail. Sal tells me they did a photo shoot on their allotment (model farm/community garden)on Friday. They had to wear ball gowns and stilettos and had bouffant hair and masses of make up for a piece on professional women with allotments. How cool.

Speaking of famous people. I know I ranted that Tom Cruise is driving me insane and that I hate him but I am finding his descent into madness oddly fascinating. Kind of like watching Fear Factor on TV - it is gross and you want to look away because it is making you sick but you need to watch because you can't believe that people would actually do it. Happy Canada/Catrin Day

I hope everyone is celebrating appropriately especially Catrin who has the dual responsibility of Canada Day and Birthday merriment.

I seem to be in a ranty mood of late so on to Rant 15 - Whispery People. What is up with them? You know the ones I mean - the people who lower their voice when they want to tell you something 'serious' and the more 'serious' it is the lower the voice. They usually lean forward with their hands at breast height and an earnest look in their eyes and start with 'I am sensing..' or 'I feel that...'. They really annoy me. I just want to yell at them - get a life and get a voice. I personally much prefer yelly people. Yelly people rock. Well except for the drunk yelly/screechy girls that were next to us at the concert last night screaming. Woooooooooooooooooooooooo neighbours!
