Top 5 Reasons for Not Updating My Blog

5. I have nothing to report. My life has gotten so boring that I actually did some cleaning this weekend.

4. It is too cold. It may not be PEI cold here but without double glazing and central heating, my fingers tend to cramp up.

3. The dog ate my computer. Really he did, well we don't have a dog but if we did.....

2. I have been in an intensive treatment program to overcome my addiction to Starbuck's Caramel Frappucinos. It has not worked. My Bank Manager is not very happy.

1. I have been too busy planning a holiday!!

Yep - Laura and I have sorted our Easter trip. We are going to Dubai. How cool is that? I am very excited. I will be able to cross off another continent. I don't have all the details. Laura is calling me later but as soon as I know, you will too.

P.S. If anyone has seen The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, can you please explain it to me.

Flowers and Glass

Wow, I have finally done something other than sit at home or go to the pub. Last night, Sally and I went to Kew Gardens to see the Orchid Festival - http://www.rbgkew.org.uk/orchids/ . She had a couple of invites through work. It was really nice to see it privately when it was not too crowded. Getting a free glass of wine and eating teeny weeny canapes wasn't too bad either!

They are planning an exhibit of glass work in the spring and there was a fantastic sculpture of the sun. It was stunning. It must have been 15 feet tall. This is a volcano installation of his that will give you an idea - http://www.chihuly.com/installations/franklin/index.html Fabulous.

Arrrgggghhhhh

I realise this has become a bit of an obsession but ugggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

So You Think You're Safe...
In the Garden: Ever set fire to your house whilst having a BBQ? Every electrocuted yourself mowing the lawn?

The Bathroom: Ever come face to face with a rat in the loo? Had a bathroom accident? Drop your hairdryer in the bath?

On Holiday: Has an infected insect bite ruined your life? Been involved in a holiday accident?

At Work:Has your office got Sick Building Syndrome? Been injured at work? How hazardous is your job?

Keeping Fit: Ever had an accident at the gym? Caught anything nasty from the swimming pool?

Eating: Have you ever been poisoned? Ever choked on your food? Got a food addiction?

At Christmas: Has your Xmas tree ever set fire to your house? Ever been strangled by your fairy lights?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

P.S. I wrote my resume today. No, I haven't been to the gym. Gotta ease into these things!

No Garden Makes Me A Safe Girl

Motivation is very hard to come by sometimes is it not? I am severely lacking at the moment. I am finding it difficult to start on my job search and to get back to the gym. I know to is very important to get to it but it that doesn't seem to matter much at the moment. Oh well, I am sure it will come.

On to the saga of my television watching. Remember my rant before Christmas about the special Christmas show - So You Think You Are Safe - telling you how the tree was going to burn your house down while the turkey killed you? Apparently it is a series. So everyone with a backyard beware. It is a death trap. Grass (lawnmower and strimmer accidents), bugs (bites, diseases), animals (dogs are a prime source of worms which can cause cysts) and you don't even want to know about the barbeque. Apparently every time you have one you are 'playing russian roulette'. No lie! Obviously I am going to live longer than most of you as I do not have one of these death traps. Good Luck.

Jet Lag Sucks

and early morning TV bites. I only managed to drag my sorry butt out of bed at 1:30 yesterday afternoon but woke up at 6:00 this morning and can't get back to sleep.

Josh is now officially a Trailer Park Boys fan. He has already watched all 3 seasons!

I'm Back

I only beeped once on my way back. I guess the glasses theory is out.
