As The Day Is Passing Slowly....

Here are some pics from the two picnic concerts I attended in Marble Hill the last two weekends.

Marble Hill House
Lemar
Beverley Knight
Banarama
Belinda Carlisle
Midge Ure

Time

I cannot explain to you just how slowly today is creeping by. It is rainy and gray and horrible outside and I am in the office wanting only to be home in bed and dreading the ride home on wet smelly buses and trains. It has been excrutiating watching the seconds of the day tick by (only 1500 or so more to go). But I just heard someone talking about booking a Christmas Party and was reminded that another year has almost flown by - seriously it is almost 2/3 over. Please explain to me how time can pass so painfully slowly and so painfully quickly at the same time?

Jason Bourne Rocks

Ok, he is an assassin and that is bad but man is he cool. Can you tell I saw the Bourne Ultimatum yesterday and really liked it? To quote pajiba.com (the best movie review site ever), Jason Bourne Kicks Ass. I just checked the site again to get it right and they have changed the title of the review so I may have imagined it. In that case, to quote me - Jason Bourne Kicks Ass.

The movie was a bit like an episode of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? It started in Moscow then moved on to at least (not in this order) Turin, London, Paris, New York, Madrid and Tangiers. And I sat in my seat and giggled in excitement like a four year old the whole time.

Please tell me you liked it as much as me so I feel like less of a loser!

Apologies

Have I been neglectful if this page or what?!. (Not sure if you put a question mark or an exclamation mark or a period after a rhetorical question also not sure of rhetorical has an h in Canada). I think that at the moment, I don't have much to write about. This summer seems to be passing by without much discussion about anything but the weather. I really don't want to write about the weather every day. I have a few things coming up soon though - picnic concert, Police concert, Catrin is talking about booking tickets to see Athlete, Dad's visit, NHL and NBA games, Angela's visit. So hopefully, I will not be so neglectful in the future. In the meantime, here are a few notes;

Waaaahey, Dad has booked his ticket to come visit me. I am so excited. Now, I have to plan stuff. Uh oh, organisation is not my best trait. Angela, are you up for making me an itinerary?

Last weekend was all about picnics. On Saturday morning, we had a brunch picnic for a friend who recently had a baby. Then on Saturday evening we went to Marble Hill Park for a picnic concert – Lemar and Beverley Knight. It was lots of fun but I am really looking forward to the one this Saturday – Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle and Midge Ure. Obviously, Sunday was all about recovery and I assume the same for this weekend.

Sally is off to Australia for a couple of weeks so I am totally jealous of course. I am meeting her for drinks this evening so I may have to be mean to her.

I had an attack of recycling rage the other day. I put out my recycling in a brand new shiny bin (I keep it in the hall so I want it to be nice and not piss off the neighbour) and when I went to retrieve it, it was gone. Instead I got someone else’s scratched, broken, dirty, covered in cobwebs, manky old yucky one. I was soooooo mad. I cannot believe how mad I was. I am even getting mad typing this and it was a week ago. I spent ages looking at the ones outside other people’s houses and walking around muttering to myself. I think I may be losing it.
