Clean Bill Of Health

Obviously I take all the credit. I am not completely sure how I did it but I did. I got rid of all the nasty virus thingy's on my computer. Woo hoo hurray for me.

I am off to a wine festival on Sunday. Sal is working so she was kind enough to get us free passes. I am really looking forward to it as there will be sampling of real wine - not just the German crap. Please, don't tell Sal I said that!

What else, Madde called earlier to say she is coming for a visit. She should arrive on Angela's birthday - a momentous day to surpass all others!! She also called me to tell me she was with tons of Canadians in Copenhagen. Apparently she met the Canadian Ambassador to Denmark. I told her not to mention Hans Island!!

Dad has joined the Cornwall Curling Club. I am sure he will have a great time. When I was in Halifax I curled. Why, I even won a cooler in a Bonspiel! Can he defend (or surpass) the family honour? I will keep you posted.

Music Machine

I finally have my iPod sorted and working. It is amazing the difference a little music makes - my life has a soundtrack again!

Stompin' Tom Goes Global (Well Not Really)

So I was watching a rerun of Never Mind The Buzzcocks - a UK music/comedy/'gameshow'. It has a section called The Intros Round, where 2 people on a team hum the introductions of songs and the 3rd has to guess what song it is. Bill Bailey's team was doing this to a Canadian comedian who didn't get any of them. The host, Mark LaMarr, started riding him about how easy they were. He replied - it probably didn't make it to Canada, all I know is Bud the Spud. He then had to explain that it was a song about potatoes and sing the first line. They didn't seem to understand the genius of the song.
