Go Can-a-da

One Gold already - how many more times do you think we will get to hear the national anthem? Am loving the Olympics.

This One Is For Sharon

So - it gets better. I didn't leave my shoes on the bus. I left them on the kitchen table. I guess that would be a true Christine.

Today I Pulled A Proper Christine

It has been a long time since I did one of these...

I got the bus at the proper time and was sitting there totally day dreaming and feeling happy about the sunshine when I suddenly realised we were at my bus stop. Total panic, couldn't find a button to press, was doing the frantic head swiveling and arm waving thing as thankfully the bus pulled over because someone else was getting off as well and had been smart enough to actually press the button. I walked up the hill to work once again day dreaming and completely oblivious. I got to the office only to realise that in my panic to get off the bus on the bus. They were in a bag - I was not barefoot, even in my state, I would have noticed that.

So...today I am sporting the lovely dress shirt, skirt, tights and sneakers look. Thank goodness it is Friday, thank goodness the boss is working from home, and thank goodness I couldn't find both my good shoes this morning and took another pair instead. Hopefully someone will turn these ones in as they are infinitely less desirable than the ones I usually wear.

Canadians Rule

Laura arrived safe and sound on Saturday and has set to work settling in. For the first time in 9 years, the majority of the household in which I reside is Canadian. There is oot-ing and aboot-ing and eh-ing everywhere. Sally is very scared.

Birds of a Feather

I started a temp job yesterday. Nice to get out of the house but I already miss Holmes on Holmes and will now find it difficult to keep up on the latest tv!

Funny thing is first day here, I met a girl from Mt. Pearl, NF. She told me there is also a Haligonian and an Albertan. Strange, cool but strange.
