As you probably all know by now, Squishy is here and he is Jake and he is adorable. To form your own opinion (although there can only be one - let me hear not a word against his beauty), check him out here -
http://petermack.blogspot.com/This update is coming from Cockbury Court, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, UK. Madde has finally made it for a visit so we have come up to her Aunt and Uncles place for a few days. Today, Madde's Aunt, Uncle, her parents, Madde and I went to Warwick to watch her Uncle's horse. It was quite interesting - I should never bet on racing. We got to go into the middle of the parade area where the jockeys mount the horses before the race and meet the jockey - quite cool. The horse didn't do very well but apparently there may be big things in his future - keep an eye on First Centurion. I went to place a bet on him, said the wrong number but ended up betting on the horse that came second! I still ended the day down £6.75. As I said - no more horse betting for me.
On Saturday, Derryth, her mother-in-law and I went into Central London to see the Christmas lights. The ones on Oxford Street were lovely. I hope to have some pictures to post soon. Everyone was out shopping and it was very Christmasy - just needed a little snow.
I think Dad is definitely going to take the family curling crown from me. His team won the losers division of the Bonspiel this past weekend. He made out like a bandit - no lowly cooler for his prize. I am truly jealous.
Sharon and Trevor, I know I am tempting fate with this statement, but I have not fallen off of or tripped over anything in ages. Though, I do still have a scar on my arm from where I burned it on the iron this summer.
Finally, I am mentioning this last fact just to make Angela's head explode. Madde's parents are going to spend 9 weeks in Paarl in the Western Cape of South Africa from January - nice for some eh?
